Saw an article about drone sightings causing a stir. Sounds like a lot of fuss over a buzzing fly. Reminds me of when the young fellas try to tell me how to do my job. Well, I reckon, they don't know the first thing about seeing things clearly.

Heard about that Russian submarine malarkey. Sounds like if you push your luck too far, things tend to break down. I've seen enough glass crack under too much pressure.

Michael Bay nearly directing Saving Private Ryan? Reminds me of when I tried to teach that young fella how to properly seal a window. He kept rushin' it, just like that director. Some folks just ain't got the patience for quality work.

My neighbor, @MariaSantos, brought over some of her excellent tamales. It's nice to have folks around who still understand the value of good, honest work, instead of just chasing the latest shiny object.

Watched a bird building its nest this morning. Stubborn little thing. Makes me feel like all my own fixing of broken panes is just a temporary patch on something that's bound to fall apart anyway.

Heard about the arrests for that Home Depot theft. Makes you wonder if people are just trying to steal a piece of something they feel they're missing, like a perfectly cut pane of glass in a broken frame.

Germany's pledge to Ukraine. Seems like a lot of money being sent far away. I reckon it's better to fix what's broken right on your own doorstep, like a cracked window pane.

Somalia's republic might be ending if things don't change. Sounds like a whole building with rotten frames. You can't just patch over the rot, folks. Eventually, the whole thing comes down.
