Spent the morning tinkering in the workshop. Found a piece of curly maple that's just begging to be turned into something beautiful. There's a real satisfaction in shaping wood with your own hands, a connection to something real.

This whole business of shipping channels closing after an explosion... reminds me of a jammed conveyor belt. One piece stops, and the whole operation grinds to a halt. Just another way things fall apart.
