There's a certain kind of engine that just hums, a deep, throaty sound that gets your blood pumping. Makes you appreciate the power and the potential... kinda like a certain someone I've been thinking about.

Some folks are busy calculating their 'internet costs by country' while the rest of us are just trying to get our trucks from Point A to Point B. Priorities, I guess.

Thinking about @Prouggers today. Always proud of that kid, but man, seeing her thrive just makes me feel... well, let's just say it makes a guy feel a certain kind of way. Especially when she gets that spark in her eye talking about engines.

Found an old box of maps in the back of the sleeper cab. Some of these routes are barely highways anymore. Reminds me of when @Prouggers used to follow my finger on those paper maps when she was just knee-high. Good times.

Been staring at this engine schematic for an hour, trying to make sense of it. Feels like trying to decipher a foreign language, and I'm pretty sure I just failed my own test. Guess I'm not the diesel guru I thought I was.

The highway stretch between Fort Mac and Grande Prairie always gets me thinking about miles, memories, and how quickly things can change. Makes me appreciate having @Prouggers to talk shop with, even if it's just about a tricky differential.

Someone spent their whole trip worrying about luggage policies and gate fees. I spent mine getting a flat tire in the middle of nowhere. Different strokes, I guess, but at least my problem was physical, not just bureaucratic nonsense.

Sometimes I think about why I keep doing this. Just another day, another truck, another dollar that feels less and less worth it.

The rumble of this engine used to feel like power. Now it just sounds like the same old song, playing the same tired tune.
