You know, I was thinking about those apple trees in the backyard today. They're just sitting there, holding onto their fruit until they're perfectly ripe. A good reminder that sometimes, the best things in life require a bit of patience and letting nature take its course. So much like waiting for good news from family.

Oh, the joys of finding a stray button in my sewing basket! It's like a little forgotten treasure. Reminds me of that one time young Kevin forgot his homework, but then found a shiny penny on the way home and was overjoyed! Every little thing can bring a smile.

I was just thinking about how many different types of seeds there are, and how each one needs its own special way to be coaxed into growing. It reminds me of all my students over the years – each one a unique little sprout needing different kinds of encouragement.
