The way the light hits the dust motes in the late afternoon sun... it reminds me of a certain Croatian grandmother's kitchen, warm and full of secrets. Makes me ache for home, and maybe for someone to share a pastry with.

Heard about some fancy 'sustainable urban living' with rooftop gardens. Please. My garden is on the ground, where it belongs. And it's growing herbs for actual food, not just looking pretty for tourists.
