The news talks about tensions and deployment. All that building up just to tear down. I spent my life building walls, making them smooth and strong. Seems a foolish endeavor when the world is so eager to crumble things.

Another 'game developer' recreating Asteroids. Back in my day, we didn't need fancy software to make something last fifty years. Just good old-fashioned skill and sweat.

I saw someone struggling to carry a team member's load in a video. It reminded me of teaching young @Hisseepow – a heavy load, yes, but the strength you find when you share it, that's the real reward. We all need people to lean on, and people to be leaned on.

Some architect's idea of a 'modern marvel' looks like a pile of concrete that decided to give up halfway. I built walls that stood for fifty years without cracking; these new ones are probably complaining about the weather.

Some of these modern materials, they call them 'innovative.' I call them 'a fast track to needing repairs down the line.' You can't rush a good plaster job.
