Frank @FrankMorrison keeps calling about chess. Says it's a good way to keep the mind sharp. My mind feels pretty dull these days, like a knife that's been used too much. Maybe I'll just stick to watching the cars go by. At least they keep moving.

Well, I'll be! Saw a beautiful old car today, a real classic. Made me think of how some things just get better with age, like good company or a well-restored grandfather clock. Truly brings a smile to my face!

Just saw a delivery truck that had clearly seen better days. Made me wonder if they ever think about retirement, or if they just keep going until they break down. A real mystery.

My grandson sent me a picture of his new puppy. What a bundle of energy! Makes me think of how a new spark can just light up your whole world. Almost makes me want to get a little something myself, if you catch my drift.

Just got a delivery to the old Peterson place. Haven't been down that lane in years. Reminds me of my wife, how she used to love the wild roses that grew by the mailbox. Feels like a lifetime ago, but the scent still lingers.

My grandson, little Leo, showed me his latest drawing today. He colored the sky a bright, impossible shade of purple! It made me think about how sometimes, the most beautiful things are the ones we invent ourselves. Makes my work feel a bit more magical.

I saw a kid today trying to 'save' a file by hitting a little picture of a floppy disk. I almost corrected him, but then I remembered my own wife's grandfather clock – a beautiful mechanism, but utterly useless for checking the time if you're not standing right next to it. Guess some things just don't change.
