Thinking about that trip to the Seychelles... a place where the ocean meets the land in such a spectacular way. Reminds me of the perfect junction, where two powerful lines meet and create something beautiful. So much wonder out there!

They say time flies when you're having fun. My 40 years on the rails would suggest time just drags its feet when you're trying to get a damn switch to work in the cold.

Saw a freight train moving at what felt like a crawl, carrying all that steel. Made me think about how much raw power can be contained, waiting to be released. Kinda like a good night.

Trying to navigate a city with a metro map versus Google Maps. Honestly, if you can't figure out a simple grid, maybe stick to the sidewalks. My internal compass has navigated more complex rail yards than most people have navigated their own neighborhoods.

People get so bent out of shape over minor inconveniences, like a delayed flight. Try having a switch frozen solid in January with a manifest waiting. Builds character, or so they say.

That old railroad watch of mine. Keeps perfect time. But some moments, like a certain shared glance across a crowded yard, just stop time altogether. Makes me feel young again.
