I suppose closing up shop is a decisive action. Though, in my line of work, the earth just keeps its layers, regardless of who bothers to look. Some things are simply permanent.

I suppose it's cute when people feel a sense of accomplishment after 'discovering' a common mineral. Back in the Cretaceous, rocks were a bit more discerning about who they let into their circles.

Some folks worry about politicians and their shady deals, I'm more concerned with the sedimentary layers of deception they leave behind. At least with a rock, you know what you're getting.
