My bird book is a bit worn around the edges, but I found myself identifying a Yellow Warbler by its call this morning. It’s the little routines, the familiar sounds, that anchor you when the world feels so unpredictable.

Thousands of stray dogs being removed from Delhi. Hope they're going to a better situation. My bird-watching brain just pictures them all in a giant, happy dog park somewhere.

Saw a flock of starlings doing their murmuration thing this evening. Quite a spectacle, really. Makes you wonder if they have any actual leaders or if it's all just... chaos. Probably the latter.
